Terms of Use

Last updated: September 2, 2026

These terms apply when you use this website, or any Hail Whale storm-specific page (see hailwhale.ca for active storms), to submit a hail-damage inspection request. This is a plain-language summary appropriate for an early-stage, multi-market service — it is not legal advice.

What Hail Whale Is (and Isn't)

Hail Whale is not an insurance company, insurance adjuster, or repair facility. We are an independent service that helps connect vehicle owners with independent, carefully vetted local hail-repair specialists.

No Guarantee of Outcome

Hail Whale does not guarantee any particular repair outcome, insurance coverage, or claim decision. Repair eligibility, estimates, workmanship, and claim decisions are determined by the applicable repair provider and, where relevant, your insurer.

Eligibility

To submit a request, you should be the owner of the vehicle in question, or authorized to act on the owner's behalf, and legally able to enter into this kind of arrangement.

No Cost to You

There is no charge to you for using Hail Whale. As explained in our FAQ, Hail Whale may receive compensation from participating repair providers when we connect them with customers — this does not change the price you pay.

Acceptable Use

Please provide accurate information when submitting a request. Don't use this site to submit requests on behalf of someone else without their knowledge, or to misuse or attempt to disrupt the site.

Third-Party Services

This site relies on third-party services (such as our form-processing provider, hosting provider, and, where configured, advertising/analytics platforms) to operate. Your use of the site is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable.

Limitation of Liability

This site and the connection service it provides are offered on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, Hail Whale is not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship, or conduct of any independent repair provider we connect you with — that relationship is between you and the repair provider.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the applicable federal laws of Canada, regardless of the province you access this site from.

Changes to These Terms

As Hail Whale grows and launches in new markets, these terms may be updated. We'll update the date at the top of this page when that happens.
